I don’t know why the US Government is unable to understand that Pakistani Military has never helped both America and Pakistan. They rather made the situation worst. In sixty years of Pakistani history more than half of the time Military reamined in Power with the complete support of USA and what we got – Al-Qaeeda and ISI.
I am sure that they know very well that Pakistani soldiers are trained in a worst way than a Madrassa (religious school). They are asked to shout Allah Akbar and Jihad before and after their training sessions and meals. Don’t they know that they are making potentially Al-Qaeeda kind of mind set.
I am sure that it would have been much to give loan and other support to civil society than Pakistan Military. They should support only those poitical parties who maintain democratic standards within their party. The money that they gave to Pak. Army went in making a Nuclear Bomb rather improving the life of poor people. In every city there are military housing societies, military has their banks, they are forcefully taking attractive business contracts, their wives and kids are having fun. They have quota in every top class job and seats reserved for their kids.
I have no problem with all this if they would have done some thing for Pakistan. Their kids studies in west rather in Pakistan.
I am very sorry for the tragic death of Benazir – but she wanted only and only to serve the cause of US and not the people of Pakistan becuase she wanted to become PM with the support of Musharraf rather than people.
We still have time and thus need to invest in colleges and schools and hospitals. Believe me that the people of tribal areas will throw away their arms if they feel that they will get school, hospital and college. I f you provide them clean drinking water the way people in Islamabad are enjoying.
I am predicting a civil war kind of situation.
